Good Shepherd Ministries remains at the service of the poor and homeless of our City. In response to COVID-19, Good Shepherd Ministries has reduced its meal program to offer bagged lunches from 2 – 4 pm. The organization is taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone who enters and uses its facilities in adherence to Public Health Agency of Canada.

Welcoming 1,000 guests so that the homeless can find hospitality

On March 4, Ken Shaw of CTV News Toronto will welcome 1,000 guests to Angels Among Us – Good Shepherd Gala.

Those 1,000 generous guests will change lives. That one night of hospitality will translate into 365 days of welcome for the homeless and most neglected members of our community.

Last year, the kindness of the Good Shepherd Gala’s guests helped provide:

–        451,214 meals for the hungry

–        88,396 items of clean clothing for homeless and destitute individuals

–        a warm, safe bed for 1,634 homeless men

–        3,786 visits for nursing care

–        pre and post-treatment services for 365 homeless men seeking recovery from addictions

–        help with finding housing for 204 homeless men.

In a world where ‘welcoming the stranger’ matters more than ever, we salute the guests, sponsors and donors who make the Good Shepherd Gala such a success.

If you want to be part of this compassionate event – which includes a gourmet dinner, live band, and exciting auction items – please call Adrienne at 416-869-3619, ext. 223, or e-mail info@goodshepherd.ca.
